"So, your name is Happy.  Really??"

Yep. Really.

​

Some of the things that make me happy:
     

• My big, fluffy labradoodle named Daisy. She always lives in the moment, and that inspires me.

• My friends who never fail to make my heart happy.

• My sisters and BIL never fail to crack me up!  You know - the kind of laughing where you can't breathe?

• Hitting the road for a roadtrip to nowhere in particular. The open road, music, Doritos and peanut M&Ms. Get in...I'm driving!!

• Technology. I am constantly impressed.

• Facebook. One place to stay in touch with everyone??  Fantastic!

• Art & Music. I am constantly inspired.

• People. Everyone has a story, and I love hearing them.

• My camera. Well...that one is a given, isn't it? :)

  
Some of the things that make me unhappy:

• Litterbugs.

• Racism.

   Not necessarily in that order.

Why am I telling you this?

 

Because when we get to know each other as people, it creates an amazing energy between us during sessions that can call for moments of goofiness, intensity, sweetness, intimacy, and many of the other emotions that you see in my images. I want to capture you -  in all your magnificent realness - without the awkwardness of being a stranger.

I realized a few years ago that the reason I was put on this earth was to provide people like you with images of the most important times in your lives. I am humbled, on a daily basis, with the knowledge that my images are a visual representation of your stories.

To wake up everyday with the opportunity to help people see their own beauty...how did I get so lucky?
